FAQs

Below are answers to commonly asked questions.  Please consult the bylaws for more detailed information and feel free to reach out to the HOA at hoa.stoneforest@gmail.com for any additional questions or clarification.

What is the amount of the annual HOA fee?

The Stone Forest Annual Assessment is currently $211.75 and is invoiced annually on January 1st of the year to which it will apply.  Payment for the dues is expected by January 31st and late fees apply for dues paid after that date.

Our annual fees are used to fund various neighborhood activities and projects (such as National Night Out and decorating the entrance for the Holidays), maintenance of landscaping and common areas, utilities, and bookkeeping/administration fees.

Our HOA board members are volunteers and therefore do not receive money for their time or service.

What steps must I take to approve a new fence, shed or pergola?

For architectural changes, please submit an architectural request form. You can find the form on your computer by doing the following:
•    Browse to http://associationServicesBCS.com/
•    Click Communities at the top of your screen then scroll down to Stone Forest:
•    Under Stone Forest, click ACC Project Request Form.
•    Print the form then fill it out. You can submit the completed form along with plans and specifications to Association Services either by FAX, e-mail or by post. The postal address, e-mail address and FAX number for Association Services can be found at the top of the Architectural Request Form.
Once you’ve submitted a request, the Stone Forest Architecture Committee has 30 days to approve or deny. Normally, you get a response within 72 hours.

May I keep a boat or RV in my driveway?

No trailer, recreational vehicle, boat, wrecked or vehicle not legally operable on public streets may be kept, parked, stored or maintained on any portion of the driveway or front yard.

Additionally, as we are close to the Pebble Creek Country club, many neighbors own golf carts.  These also may not be parked in the driveway and need to be stored out of sight (e.g. in the garage).

May I store my trash and recycle cans wherever I want?

Trash and recycle cans need to be kept out of sight at all times, with the exception of pick-up days.  Trash and recycle cans must be removed from the street by the end of the pickup day.  Warnings are issued for infractions and multiple infractions will incur a fine.

Currently, our trash is picked up every Thursday, recycle is collected every other Wednesday and bulk trash is picked up every Friday. For additional information you may visit the city's Solid Waste & Recycling Services website.

What are the basic landscaping requirements for my home?

At a minimum, all lawns should be sodded with grass and maintained with an irrigation system.  Owners are expected to keep shrubs, trees, grass and plants cultivated, pruned and free of trash and trees and plants that are dead should be removed as soon as possible.

May I raise chickens or keep livestock on my property?

No poultry, livestock, wild animals or any animals not considered to be a domestic household pet in the traditional sense may be kept on property.

May I rent out my property?  Either long term or as a "game day" house?

Our covenants do not allow for rentals of any kind.  Short-term rentals such as "game day" rentals and weekend Airbnb are therefore not permitted.
